Identify incentives

An author can benefit from referral rewards, a trading fee, paid access, or a profit share. These incentives do not by themselves prove a bad recommendation. They are information you need to interpret the recommendation. Look for a clear disclosure and compare the claim with independent market data.

Apply the check
